Charlemont and Collegeland Community Development Association, CCCDA, met in June in Collegeland to elect Office holders for the incoming year -
Brendan McGeary, Chair; Sharon Douglas, Vice Chair; Michelle Hazlett, Secretary; Sean Maguire, Treasurer; Tommy Mitchell, PRO.
The June public meeting agreed that that while improvements had been made in recent years in the Charlemont and Collegeland areas it was as a direct result of local people campaigning together with local authorities recognising their needs. Many felt that that more should be done to improve Charlemont and Collegeland areas. Local people realise that lack of funding and willing people were limiting factors but now feel that these can now be overcome with the renewed cross community interest locally.
